Real estate course costs in Queensland vary by organisation. At The Learning Team:

Sales Associate (Registration Certificate):

  • Requires 12 units of competency
  • Work under a licensed agent’s supervision
  • Can conduct sales, property management, and buyers agent client interactions
  • Cannot operate independently or open your own agency
  • Cannot manage trust accounts
  • Ideal for getting started while you study for your full licence

Full Real Estate Licence (CPP41419 Certificate IV):

  • Requires 19 units of competency to meet the Office of Fair Trading Licencing Requirements

Think of the sales associate as your learner’s permit and the full licence as your unrestricted licence. Many students start with the sales associate to gain experience while studying for their full qualification.

Yes, you can complete your entire Queensland real estate qualification online. The Learning Team offers fully online, self-paced study for all courses including the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, which is the mandatory qualification for a full real estate agent licence in Queensland.

You’ll complete assessments online through our student portal, with video demonstrations for practical skills like appraisals and property presentations. Once you finish your qualification, you’ll apply to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading for your licence, this can also be done fully online. All training is done remotely – no classroom attendance required but full support is available.

To become a fully licensed real estate agent in Queensland, you’ll need to complete the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice and then apply for licensing through the Office of Fair Trading.

Study timeframes with The Learning Team:

Because our online system requires 2 factor authentication to keep your data safe, if you lose access (change jobs etc)  to your work email, you may not be able to log into the portal to continue your studies. So we recommend using your personal email address that you will always have access to.

To help us meet compliance requirements and ensure the integrity of your assessments, we ask that you confirm your computer has a working video camera.

At times, you may be asked to have your camera switched on while completing an assessment, or during a one-on-one Zoom/Google Meet session with your trainer. This simply allows us to confirm that it is you completing the assessment and to provide any support you may need.

We respect your privacy and recommend choosing a space with minimal background distractions whenever your camera is on.
