The Learning Team will confirm applicants are suited to the training program in which they enrol and be given the best opportunity for a positive vocational outcome.  

Pre-enrolment Questionaire 

A pre-enrolment questionnaire is provided to each student. Questions are designed to identify the student’s needs, so staff members can evaluate any requirements the student may have to improve their learning experience and outcome.

For example, but not limited to: 

Confirm student’s Unique Student Identifier (USI) number 

Confirm the student’s work/life balance and capacity to undertake the program of study 

Confirm the student’s aptitude for work as a real estate professional 

Confirm access to email/internet/social media 

Confirm basic computer skills 

Confirm the student’s employment status 

Language Literacy and Numeracy 

The Learning Team recognises that not all students will have the same level of ability in relation to reading, writing and performing calculations. Potential students who have indicated Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) may be a concern, will be offered a LLN Assessment. Students must satisfactorily complete The Learning Team’s LLN test to a minimum of the following standards aligned with the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). 

Skills, knowledge and experience assessment 

A series of questions designed to inform The Learning Team of the Student’s skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the Australian Core Skills Framework includes:

Writing 

Oral communication 

Numeracy 

Workplace – The Learning Team does not train or assess in the workplace. 

Program of Study  -The program is delivered over a period of two (2) months.  Specifically, 8 weeks of training, study and assessment.

Study/Research – Self Paced 

Monday to Friday – (each week)  Students are directed to take part in self-paced study across the duration of the training program. When enrolment is confirmed, students are provided with access to a The Learning Team online platform and a repository of learner resources.  

The student is provided with specific, documented support across their self-paced study: 

Student Study Schedule that includes: 
A month-by-month study program 
Training schedule 
Schedule for students to complete work in their own time 
Scheduled study, research and completion of assessments 
Indicative deadlines 

Course Duration

Students should consider this training program to be two (2) months of study, research, training and assessment. Students must be prepared to engage with The Learning Team for 2 months and be willing to contribute their own time, effort and resources and be genuinely committed to working toward a satisfactory outcome.  

Successful graduates will receive a Statement of Attainment 

Successful graduates will also receive a Certificate of Achievement 

Students who are currently in Australia on a student visa may not enrol in this program. 

Students will normally be employed in a suitable real estate environment.

Training 

Approximately 10 hours (each week)

Online tutorial 

Tuesday –  (each week)  

Students will connect with their facilitator via The Learning Team online platform. 

1 hour (Each Session) 

Assessment 

Theory Assessment -Written questions are completed by the student online without the assistance of other persons. 

2 hours per week 

Practical Assessment -Completed in the student’s own time. Examples include drafting contracts, preparing transfer documents, role plays, conducting title searches, problem solving scenarios. 

4 hours per week 

Students should consider the two (2) weeks allocated to study the assigned unit of competency as a deadline for completion of the study phase and be prepared for the assessment of those units of competency.

Entry Requirements:

Sales Associate Pathway: You must currently be working as a Sales Associate in a licensed agency.

Sole Operator Pathway: You must hold a current Real Estate Sales Agent Licence in Queensland.

Potential Career Outcomes:

Graduates of this course will be eligible to apply for roles such as:

  • Buyer’s Agent

  • Property Acquisition Consultant

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to real estate practices in all states and territories. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements.

Successful completion of CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is part of the licensing requirement in Queensland.
